Rajasthan does not pay a subsidy on the tractor itself under the Agriculture Department's Krishi Yantra scheme. The scheme page on Raj Kisan Saathi (rajkisan.rajasthan.gov.in) gives rates only for implements such as seed drills, disc ploughs, rotavators, threshers, planters and reapers, and it asks for the RC of a tractor the farmer already owns. The one tractor norm on the portal belongs to the Horticulture Department's mechanisation component: a tractor up to 20 PTO HP with rotavator or equipment, at 25% (up to ₹75,000) for general farmers and 35% (up to ₹1,00,000) for SC, ST, small, marginal and women farmers.

A July 2026 news report also describes the state scheme as implements only. The national SMAM ceilings for tractors are shown further down so the gap is clear. For the national picture see the tractor subsidy overview.

What is and is not subsidised

  • Agriculture Department, Krishi Yantra: approved implements at 40% (general) or 50% (SC, ST, small, marginal and women farmers), with a rupee cap that depends on the BHP of the tractor or power unit.
  • Horticulture Department, mechanisation: the FAQ lists a tractor up to 20 PTO HP, rotavator, power tillers, and sprayers.
  • Custom hiring centres: the Agriculture Department gives up to 80% of project cost for a centre run by a KVSS, GSS or FPO. Apply at the Joint Director Agriculture office of the district. The portal lists centres, and some own tractors that small farmers can hire.
  • Dealer sites that quote "up to 40% on a tractor, capped at ₹1,00,000" for Rajasthan are not matched by the portal pages.

Implement rates (Agriculture Department)

Disc plough / disc harrow50% or ₹20,000 to ₹50,00040% or ₹16,000 to ₹40,000
Rotavator50% or ₹42,000 to ₹50,40040% or ₹34,000 to ₹40,300
Multi crop thresher50% or ₹30,000 to ₹1,00,00040% or ₹25,000 to ₹80,000
Ridge furrow planter / multi crop planter / tractor operated reaper50% or ₹30,000 to ₹75,00040% or ₹24,000 to ₹60,000
Chisel plough50% or ₹10,000 to ₹20,00040% or ₹8,000 to ₹16,000

The rupee cap rises with the BHP of the tractor, from below 20 BHP to above 35 BHP, so a bigger tractor allows a higher cap. These rates are on the scheme page as shown in October 2026, which prints no guideline year. All other approved machines follow SMAM norms.

Who can apply and what to upload

  • The applicant must own farm land in his or her name. In an undivided family the name must appear in the revenue record.
  • For a tractor-operated implement the tractor RC must be in the applicant's name.
  • One machine only per financial year, and one machine of a type only once in three years, across all department schemes. Up to three types can be applied for together.
  • Documents: Jan Aadhaar or Aadhaar, jamabandi or revenue passbook copy not older than six months, small or marginal farmer certificate if needed, tractor RC copy for tractor-operated implements, and full bank account details.

How to apply and what happens next

  1. Open Raj Kisan Saathi, go to Kisan Sevayen, Krishi Vibhag, Krishi Yantra, and apply with the Jan Aadhaar number, yourself or at the nearest e-Mitra.
  2. Upload the documents. The portal gives a receipt online, and no paper goes to the agriculture office.
  3. Applications are randomised and then handled in an online priority order.
  4. Administrative sanction comes within 15 days, by mobile message or through the Krishi Paryavekshak.
  5. Buy within 45 days from a manufacturer or dealer on the portal list (Farm Implement Dealer Report). The sanction lapses otherwise.
  6. The Krishi Paryavekshak or Assistant Agriculture Officer verifies the machine in person against the purchase bill.
  7. The subsidy is paid online to the bank account.

Status can be checked under Aavedan ki Sthiti Jaanein on the home page.

Dates

The scheme page prints no application window. A July 2026 Patrika report mentions an annual 30 June cutoff and first come first served selection, which differs from the portal's randomisation, so follow the portal notice.

If you want a tractor

With no tractor subsidy in the Agriculture scheme, the real routes are a loan, the horticulture norm if your farm qualifies, or hiring from a custom hiring centre. Check tractor prices, the on-road price tool, the EMI calculator, tractor loans and dealers. Implements that do get the subsidy are on the implements page, and the subsidy finder covers other schemes.
