Andhra Pradesh does not list tractors in its subsidy supply under the central scheme. The state's SMAM empanelment for 2024-25 covers tractor drawn implements, sowing equipment, power tillers, power weeders, brush cutters and plant protection equipment, and a tractor is not on that list. A farmer buying a tractor in Andhra Pradesh should plan on a loan, and use the subsidy for the implements that go behind it.

Two secondary guides to the 2025-26 round do name tractors, one of them "up to 40 HP", but no rupee ceiling for a tractor appears in any state document used for this page, so that claim is unverified. Ask the Mandal Agriculture Officer at your Rythu Seva Kendram (RSK) before paying for anything. The national picture is on the tractor subsidy overview.

What the Andhra Pradesh scheme supplies

  • Who runs it: the Department of Agriculture implements the centrally sponsored SMAM through a nodal agency, the Andhra Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation (APSAIDCL, known as APAGROS) at Vaddeswaram, Guntur district.
  • What is empanelled: rotavators, cultivators, seed drills and other tractor drawn implements, power tillers, power weeders, brush cutters and plant protection equipment, bought from manufacturers who bid on the state e-procurement portal.
  • Where it is delivered: at the Mandal headquarters or the RSK, with the delivery checked by the village agriculture assistant through a mobile app.
  • Hiring centres: for group projects the Konaseema district page gives a ₹15 lakh pattern, with a 40% subsidy of ₹6 lakh, a 10% group share of ₹1.50 lakh and a 50% bank loan of ₹7.50 lakh.

Rates and ceilings

The 50% rate applies to SC, ST, small and marginal farmers and women, and 40% to other farmers, as in the central SMAM norms. The rupee ceilings below are the central norms from the 2018-19 guidelines, the latest set opened for this page. One guide to the 2025-26 round in Andhra Pradesh reports a ceiling of ₹50,000 per farmer, which is not confirmed in a state document.

Machine (central norm, 2018-19)50% groupOthers at 40%In AP list for 2024-25
Power tiller below 8 BHP₹0.65 lakh₹0.50 lakhYes
Power tiller 8 BHP and above₹0.85 lakh₹0.70 lakhYes
Tractor 2WD, 8 to 20 PTO HP₹2.00 lakh₹1.60 lakhNo
Tractor 2WD, above 20 to 40 PTO HP₹2.50 lakh₹2.00 lakhNo
Tractor 2WD, above 40 to 70 PTO HP₹4.25 lakh₹3.40 lakhNo

The tractor rows show what the central norms allowed on paper. Andhra Pradesh's own empanelment does not buy tractors, so they should not be counted on.

Need help applying for a tractor or implement subsidy?

Who can apply and what is asked

  • Landowners, tenant farmers and women farmers, with e-Crop registration and current land records, according to guides to the 2025-26 round.
  • One person per family. Farmers who got a subsidy in 2024-25 were reported as ineligible.
  • Documents named: Aadhaar, land records, bank passbook, mobile number, e-Crop registration and an RFR card for tenant farmers.

How selection works

Guides describe a lottery among eligible applicants, held at district level by the Joint Collector and agriculture officials, with priority to SC, ST, small and women farmers. One guide says the beneficiary list stays valid for a year.

Steps to apply

  1. Go to your Rythu Seva Kendram with the documents above, or register online at eseed.ap.gov.in/FM/farmerRegistration, where an Aadhaar OTP is asked.
  2. Choose the implement from the empanelled list.
  3. Wait for the lottery result at the district.
  4. If selected, pay your share within the window, as given below.
  5. Receive the machine at the RSK or Mandal office.

The portal menu labels were not seen first hand, so follow the screen if it differs.

After selection

  • The farmer's share is paid online to the supplier with the purchase order, and the supplier must deliver within 15 days of the order, according to the APAGROS terms.
  • The subsidy part is released to the firm after delivery, once the Director of Agriculture's office approves. The farmer does not receive it as cash.
  • The supplier gives a one year warranty and free repairs in that period.

Dates

No current window is published in the sources used here. The 2025-26 round, as guides give it, ran applications 5 to 19 May 2025, lottery 23 to 25 May, payment 26 May to 9 June and supply 26 May to 26 June, with a state budget of ₹112.50 crore across the districts. Treat a new round as likely to follow the same pattern and watch the RSK notice board.

If the goal is a tractor

  • Bank loan: see tractor loans and use the EMI calculator.
  • Price first: check tractor prices and the on-road price tool, and compare dealers at tractor dealers.
  • Hire before buying: in August 2026 a women SHG run hiring centre in Markapuram district began renting out a 35 HP tractor, a rotavator, a cultivator and sprayers on a first come basis. Under the earlier YSR Yantra Seva pattern, groups of five farmers paid 10%, took a 50% loan and got a 40% subsidy.
  • Implements: see implements for what is subsidised, and the subsidy finder for other schemes.

Contact

No state helpline is published in the sources used. Apply through the RSK or the Mandal Agriculture Officer. APAGROS lists [email protected] for supplier matters. The Joint Director of Agriculture, Kakinada, is listed at 8331056483 on the Konaseema page, which is one district's office only.
