These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Farmer.in website, mobile application and related services (the "Services"), provided by Farmer.in ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own lawful, non-commercial farming and informational purposes. For the mobile app, this is a licence to use the app, not a sale, and it is subject to the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.

3. Accounts and Membership

Some features (such as the Bharat Annadata Sangh membership) require you to provide information. You agree to give accurate, current information, keep it updated, and keep your access secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
• post content that is false, misleading, abusive, obscene, infringing, or that contains spam, advertising, external links, phone numbers or malware;
• impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or copy the Services or data except as expressly permitted (for example our published widgets, datasets or API used per their terms);
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or related systems.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as community questions and answers). By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute it within the Services. You confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. We may moderate, edit or remove content at our discretion, and we are not responsible for user-generated content.

6. Information Only - No Professional Advice

The Services provide agricultural information, including mandi prices, MSP, government scheme details, crop guidance, calculators and tools. Prices, scheme details and calculator outputs are indicative and may change. The Services do not provide professional financial, investment, legal, agronomic, medical or veterinary advice for your specific situation. Always verify current rates at your local mandi, current scheme rules on official government portals, and consult your bank, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), a qualified agronomist or veterinarian before acting. 7. Lead and Connection Services

When you submit an enquiry, we may connect you with third-party verified partners. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, the products, pricing, advice or conduct of those third parties; any transaction or agreement is solely between you and them. Verify all terms independently before you commit.

8. Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Services contain links to third-party websites and display advertising (including via Google AdSense). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. Advertising is identified as such; see our Affiliate Disclosure.

9. Intellectual Property

The Services, including text, design, graphics, logos and software (excluding user content and third-party material), are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. "Farmer.in" and our logos are our marks. You may not use them without permission.

10. Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds

Our core farmer services are currently free. If we offer any paid features or subscriptions in the mobile app, purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their billing and refund policies. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information is complete or current.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, crops or income, arising from your use of or reliance on the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms or to protect the Services. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see Account & Data Deletion).

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the Services.

16. App Store Terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; Apple has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce these Terms against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a relevant embargo and are not on a prohibited-parties list, and you will comply with the App Store Usage Rules. If you download from Google Play, you will also comply with the Google Play Terms of Service.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
