Gujarat does subsidise tractors, through the iKhedut portal of the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department. From 2025-26 the tractor assistance was raised to up to ₹1 lakh per farmer, and the state set aside ₹800 crore for tractors, double the year before. The rate is a rupee cap, so the percentage of the price depends on the model. The exact percentage is not given in the sources found.

The Sarkari Yojana figures are undated and may belong to an earlier year, so confirm them on iKhedut. A 2026 state-wise guide lists a lower tractor ceiling of ₹75,000 with 25 to 40 percent, which matches an older scale and not the 2025-26 announcement. The percentage the ₹1 lakh cap applies to is not stated in the sources.
Who is eligible and documents
- A farmer resident in Gujarat with land recorded in the state land records and engaged in farming.
- No annual income limit is stated, and women farmers are eligible.
- Documents: 7/12 certificate for land ownership, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook or a cancelled cheque for the subsidy transfer.
Application steps on iKhedut
- Open ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in and register as a new farmer.
- Choose the beneficiary type when asked, then create the OTP or password.
- Log in and select the tractor or mini tractor scheme from the agriculture department list.
- Upload the 7/12, Aadhaar and bank proof, and submit.
- Print or save the application, because the later stages refer to it.

Selection and what happens next
The 2025 report speaks of pre-approval orders, which means a farmer applies first and gets approval before buying. The selection method (lottery, first come or target-based) is not stated in the sources. The purchase window, dealer rules, bill upload, physical verification and DBT payment steps are also not published in them. Buying before approval risks losing the subsidy, so wait for the pre-approval order.

If the subsidy is not approved
Approval cannot be taken for granted: the report counts about 76,000 tractor pre-approvals so far in 2025-26. A farmer who needs a tractor this season has other routes. A bank tractor loan can be taken without waiting, and the subsidy can then be treated as a later reduction in cost and not as the down payment.
