Chhattisgarh keeps its land records on the Bhuiyan portal, bhuiyan.cg.nic.in, run by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. The two records farmers need are the B-1 (khatauni) and the P-II (khasra). The portal home page is in Hindi, and the menu labels below are copied from it.

A page on the Khasra Details form carries the line that the information on the website is updated and needs no physical verification. For the general meaning of khasra and mutation, see the all-India land records page.

What B-1, P-II and the other records show

RecordWhat it shows
B-1 (khatauni)Ownership, area and revenue of a bhumiswami. It gathers all the khasras held by one person or family in a village. A guide calls it prima facie evidence of ownership, not conclusive title.
P-II (khasra)Plot-level details: area, land use or classification, and the crop.
GirdawariThe season-wise crop and possession entry made by the patwari. A guide advises reading it together with B-1 and P-II.

Check B-1 and khasra step by step

  1. Open bhuiyan.cg.nic.in and click the menu "भूमि संबंधित जानकारी" (Land related information).
  2. Choose "खसरा विवरण" (Khasra Details) or "B1/PII प्राप्त करें" (Get B1/PII). Both lead to the same form. A newer "Beta" version of B1/PII sits beside it.
  3. On the form, pick the option "ग्राम चयन द्वारा" (by village) or "खसरा आई डी द्वारा" (by khasra ID).
  4. For the village route, select जिला (district), तहसील (tehsil), रा.नि. (revenue inspector circle) and ग्राम (village), shown with its village code.
  5. Then enter the khasra number to see the plot and its B-1 and P-II. Guides mention a search by owner name, but the form offers only the village and khasra ID routes.
  6. To retrieve a signed copy already issued, use "B1/PII डॉक्यूमेंट आईडी से प्राप्त करें" and enter the document ID.
Need help with land records, mutation or correction?

Digitally signed copy and legal value

  • The menu "आवेदन" (Applications) has "डिजिटल हस्ताक्षरित B-I/P-II आवेदन". Its form asks for the village and the village number and produces the "आसामीवार बी-I खतौनी/पी-II खसरा" report, with a question whether a digitally signed certificate is wanted.
  • The fee for this signed copy is not published; ask at the tehsil office. The portal fee page lists only that registration of land records and the online khasra map are free (निःशुल्क), which is a different thing.
  • The portal does not say whether a bank or court accepts the signed copy. A guide says an offline copy from the patwari or tehsil office is the one to use for loans and registration. Ask the bank first.

Map (Bhu Naksha)

The menu "विभागीय लॉग इन" has "भू-नक्शा लॉगिन", which links to bhunaksha.cg.nic.in. The site opens with the district list and then tehsil, RI and village, and has a "Plot Info" section and Google or Bing map layers. The site does not say how it ties to the khasra record, so search the plot separately on both.

Namantaran (mutation)

  • Apply under "आवेदन" then "नामांतरण हेतु आवेदन". It opens the "नागरिक सुविधा पोर्टल" (Citizen Facility Portal), which needs sign-up and login with an OTP.
  • To follow a case, use "नामांतरण की वर्तमान स्थिति" (current status of namantaran) in the Land information menu. "नामांतरण पंजी की नक़ल" gives a copy of the namantaran register.
  • The fee page "भू-स्वामी परिवर्तन हेतु शुल्क" lists namantaran in a gram panchayat as free. Rates for revenue namantaran and the time limit in days are not published; ask at the tehsil office.

Corrections, contact and units

  • The Contact page gives the office of the Commissioner, Land Records, Block-2, Indravati Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, Raipur 492002, fax 0771-2237480 and 0771-2234579, and email clr-cg at nic dot in. The portal lists no toll-free helpline and no correction form for farmers.
  • The same page has district and post (पद) selectors for finding officers. A farmer can also take the B-1 to the tehsil office or the patwari with a request for correction.
  • A guide says area is shown in hectares or acres. Compare with local units in the land area converter.

Where the record is needed

The portal has an Agristack section, and Farmer ID needs land details; see the farmer registry page. Banks use the record for a Kisan Credit Card, and PM-Kisan checks land ownership.
