Vengurla 7 is known for bold nuts and Vengurla 4 for steady bearing. Nut grade depends a lot on processing and out turn, so a bold raw nut with high kernel out turn of around 28 to 30 percent fetches the best rate. Always plant soft wood grafts of a notified variety, not seedlings, because grafts come true to type and bear earlier. Confirm the latest recommended grafts and genuine planting material with the Vengurla station or your KVK before buying, as nurseries sometimes sell mislabelled grafts.

I have Vengurla 4 and 7 mixed in my Sindhudurg plot. The 7 gives bolder nuts and the processor here pays a bit more for the bigger grade. Buy grafts only from the government nursery or a known one, I got cheated once with seedling plants that took years extra to bear.

Big nut size alone is not money, the out turn after processing decides the rate. My buyer cuts a sample and counts kernel recovery. Vengurla grafts have given me decent recovery.
