Falling borewell yield usually means the local water table has dropped from over extraction and poor recharge, so the lasting fix is to put water back. A common method is a recharge pit or trench near the borewell filled with boulders, gravel, and sand that collects rooftop and field runoff and lets it filter down, sometimes connected by a recharge shaft to a permeable layer. Divert clean rooftop and farmyard runoff into it, keeping silt out with a filter chamber so the bore does not choke. Combine with field bunding, farm ponds, and check dams in the catchment to raise the area water table over years. Reduce water hungry crops and switch to drip. Get a site specific recharge design from a groundwater expert or your KVK before drilling or building.
I built a recharge pit next to my bore with stones and sand layers and routed my shed roof water into it. After two good monsoons the bore holds out longer into summer than it used to. It is not magic in one year, but over time you can feel the difference.
Do not let muddy field runoff go straight into the recharge pit or it will silt up and choke the bore. I made a small settling chamber before the pit so the dirt drops out first and only cleaner water goes down. Cleaning that chamber is far easier than a choked borewell.
Recharge alone will not help if you keep pumping the same heavy crops. I cut my water hungry crop area and moved to drip, and that reduced extraction so much that the recharge actually started to show. Putting water back while still over pumping is like filling a leaking tank.
I routed my cattle shed and shed roof runoff into a stone and sand recharge pit beside the bore. After a couple of good monsoons the bore holds water deeper into summer. It is slow, but you do feel the bore lasting longer year by year.
