How do I do NPCI Aadhaar seeding at my bank so PM-Kisan DBT money reaches me?

This is one of the most common reasons PM-Kisan money fails even when status looks fine, so it is worth understanding clearly. There are two different things. One is linking Aadhaar to your bank account, which is just attaching your Aadhaar number to that account in the bank's records. The other is NPCI Aadhaar seeding or DBT mapping, where your Aadhaar is registered in the NPCI mapper as the one account that should receive all your DBT government benefit payments. PM-Kisan and most DBT schemes send money to the Aadhaar that is NPCI mapped, not to whatever account number you wrote in the form. If your Aadhaar is not mapped, or is mapped to an old or closed account, the money bounces or goes to the wrong place. To fix it, go to the branch of the bank where you want the money to come. Take your Aadhaar and passbook. Give a written request or fill the bank's form to seed your Aadhaar for DBT and set this account as the NPCI mapped account. The bank links your Aadhaar in the NPCI mapper to that account. If your Aadhaar is currently mapped to another bank, the latest seeding request moves the mapping to the new bank, so only one account stays active for DBT at a time. After a few days you can verify the mapping status, your bank can confirm, or you can check the DBT or NPCI Aadhaar mapping status. Once mapped correctly, the failed PM-Kisan installment is usually retried in the next cycle. Do this only at your bank branch, never share your Aadhaar OTP with agents.
