If your PM Kisan installment has not arrived, the cause is almost always one of a few records on the portal: e-KYC, land seeding, an Aadhaar-seeded bank account, or a hold for an eligibility check. Look up your status first, then fix the one item that is pending.
The most recent installment is the 23rd, released on 20 June 2026 from Tarakeswar, Hooghly (West Bengal), as announced by PIB. As of 2 October 2026 no later installment has been announced, and this article does not guess a date. If you received the 23rd, nothing is wrong now; there is simply no newer installment yet. This page is for farmers who missed the 23rd or an earlier one.
Step 1: see what the portal says about you
On pmkisan.gov.in open Farmers Corner and choose Know Your Status. Enter your registration number; the OTP goes to the mobile number registered for e-KYC. If you have forgotten the registration number, the same page has a Know your registration no. option. The page also shows account details: payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode, whether the account was credited and on what date. How to read that screen is covered in PM Kisan beneficiary status.
Three things decide whether money is released. PIB states that benefits go to farmers whose land records are seeded on the PM-KISAN portal, whose bank account is linked with Aadhaar, and who have completed e-KYC. Most missed installments trace back to one of these.
Reasons an installment is held, and the fix
| Reason | What it means | What to do | |
|---|---|---|---|
| e-KYC pending | The portal says e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers. OTP e-KYC is on the portal; biometric e-KYC is done at a Common Service Centre (CSC). | Complete it. Steps are in {{/articles/pm-kisan-ekyc-online/ | PM Kisan e-KYC online}}. |
| Land not seeded | Your land record has not been verified and attached to your entry by the state. | Follow {{/articles/pm-kisan-land-seeding/ | land seeding correction}}. |
| Bank account not Aadhaar-seeded | Payments go only to Aadhaar-seeded accounts through DBT. | Follow {{/articles/pm-kisan-aadhaar-bank-seeding/ | Aadhaar bank seeding}}. |
| Held for physical verification | The portal notes that suspected exclusion cases are withheld until physical verification, for example land acquired after 1 February 2019, or more than one family member receiving benefit (husband and wife, or an adult and a minor). | Check Know Your Status for details and meet the block or district nodal officer with your land papers. | |
| Not eligible | Institutional landholders, income tax payers of the last assessment year, serving or retired government employees, and some other groups are excluded under the scheme. | If you are in an excluded group, the payment will not come. If you wrongly appear to be, raise a complaint. | |
| Registration not approved | The state must verify eligibility and upload your details before Aadhaar and bank validation and the payment run. | Check the registration status; see {{/articles/pm-kisan-new-farmer-registration/ | new farmer registration}}. |
| Credited but you cannot see it | Status shows a UTR number and credit date but your balance did not change. | Take the UTR number to your bank. Check that the account is open and active. |
For the scheme, a family means husband, wife and minor children, and one family gets one ₹6,000 a year (three installments of ₹2,000). If two adults in the same household are both registered, one may be put on hold.
Will I get the missed installments?
PIB has stated that the benefits of farmers who did not meet the mandatory conditions (land seeding, Aadhaar-based payment and e-KYC) were stopped, and that when they complete the requirements they receive the benefit together with the installments due. So the priority is to finish the pending item, not to re-register.
If every item is complete and money still has not come
- Use Helpdesk - Query Form under Farmers Corner. PIB says this routes your complaint to the concerned nodal officer.
- Meet the block or district agriculture officer (the state appoints nodal officers at block, district and state level).
- Call 155261, the 24x7 IVRS line PIB describes for checking beneficiary status.
The full list of complaint routes and what to keep ready is in PM Kisan helpline and complaint. Scheme rules and eligibility are on the PM Kisan scheme page.
Beware of fake links and OTP fraud
- Open only pmkisan.gov.in (typed yourself) and the official PM-KISAN app from the Play Store. Do not install APK files sent on WhatsApp that promise to "release" an installment or show a "beneficiary list".
- Never tell your OTP, bank PIN or card details to anyone who phones about your installment. Officials do not need them.
- No one can speed up your installment for a fee.
