The government has not announced a date for the 24th PM-KISAN instalment. As of 2 October 2026, the most recent instalment is the 23rd, released on 20 June 2026 from Tarakeswar, Hooghly (West Bengal). Any "24th instalment date" you see on social media or YouTube before an official announcement is a guess.
What you can do now is make sure nothing in your own record will hold your ₹2,000 back when the money is released. That is covered below, after the facts on what has been paid and when.
What has actually been released
| Instalment | Released | Amount / farmers (PIB) |
|---|---|---|
| 21st | 19 November 2025 (Coimbatore) | about ₹18,000 crore, nearly 9 crore farmers |
| 22nd | 13 March 2026 (Guwahati) | over ₹18,640 crore, 9.32 crore farmers |
| 23rd | 20 June 2026 (Tarakeswar, Hooghly) | over ₹18,880 crore, over 9.44 crore farmers |
| 24th | Not announced | - |
A later Cabinet note (31 July 2026) says more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has been paid over 23 instalments, and puts the 23rd instalment at more than 9.49 crore farmers and over ₹18,984 crore, slightly above the figure announced on release day. The earlier 20th instalment came in August 2025.
What "every four months" means, and what it does not
The scheme pays ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000, directly to Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. That works out to roughly one instalment every four months. In practice the gaps have varied: the three dates above are about 16 weeks (19 Nov to 13 Mar) and about 14 weeks (13 Mar to 20 Jun) apart. The release date is set by the government, often tied to a Prime Minister's event, and is normally announced only a few days earlier through a PIB press release.
So the cadence tells you the next instalment is due some time after the June one, but it cannot tell you the day. Do not plan a loan repayment or a purchase around a rumoured date.
Cabinet decision: the scheme continues
On 31 July 2026 the Union Cabinet approved continuing PM-KISAN from 2026-27 to 2030-31 with an outlay of ₹3.15 lakh crore. The press release describes the benefit as ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments; it announces no change in the amount. The Union Budget 2026-27 allocation for the scheme is ₹60,000 crore.
What decides whether you get the ₹2,000
The Ministry says benefits go to farmers whose land records are seeded on the PM-KISAN portal, whose bank account is linked with Aadhaar, and who have completed e-KYC. Check each one now:
- e-KYC. Done by OTP, by fingerprint at a CSC, or by face scan in the PM-KISAN app. Steps: PM Kisan e-KYC online.
- Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Confirm with your bank that the account receiving DBT is Aadhaar-seeded and active.
- Land seeding. Your land record must be verified by the state and uploaded. If it is not, contact the block agriculture or revenue office.
- Eligibility. Higher-income categories such as income tax payees and government employees are excluded, and states are directed to recover payments made to ineligible beneficiaries (PIB, 18 March 2025).
New registrations: a Lok Sabha reply of 10 March 2026 says Farmer ID is mandatory for new registrations only in the 19 states where farmer-registry work has begun. Existing beneficiaries were not described as needing it.
If the 23rd instalment did not reach you
- Open your status on pmkisan.gov.in, or call the 24x7 IVRS helpline 155261, which the Ministry has described for checking beneficiary status.
- Fix the pending item (e-KYC, bank seeding or land). The Ministry has said stopped farmers receive their dues once they complete the requirements.
- Use the Help Desk under Farmers Corner on the portal, which routes your grievance to the state nodal officer.
Beware of "24th instalment" scams
- Do not click links or install APK files that claim to show the "24th instalment list", "status" or "KYC update". Use only pmkisan.gov.in typed into your browser and the official app from the Play Store.
- Never give your OTP, bank PIN or card details to anyone who calls about your instalment. You never have to pay to receive the money.
- Treat a date you cannot find on PIB or pmkisan.gov.in as unconfirmed.
Scheme basics and eligibility are on the PM-KISAN page.
