In Madhya Pradesh, polyhouse and shade net subsidy under MIDH is applied through the state horticulture department portal at mphorticulture.gov.in. Register, select protected cultivation, fill your land and project details and upload documents. Central support is generally about 50 percent of the approved cost norm for general farmers, and MP often provides additional state assistance and higher rates for SC and ST farmers, so the effective subsidy can be larger. Keep ready your Aadhaar, B-1 or khasra land record, bank passbook, samagra ID, caste certificate if applicable and a quotation or estimate. The amount is paid after construction and inspection, so plan funds for the upfront gap and the period before release.

Talk to your district horticulture officer before you apply in MP. The targets for protected cultivation are limited each year and the officer can tell you whether slots are open and what the running cost norm is. That visit saved me from applying at the wrong time.

Build only after the sanction, and use an empanelled firm. The inspection in MP checks the structure size and material against the sanctioned project, so a self-built or under-spec polyhouse can lose the subsidy. I kept every bill and the firm gave me a completion certificate for the file.

Keep enough working capital because the money comes after the inspection, sometimes in stages. I bridged the gap with a horticulture term loan from my bank. Have the loan sanctioned before you start construction so work does not stall waiting for funds.

Make sure your samagra ID and bank account match your Aadhaar, same as the machinery portal. A DBT mismatch is the usual reason the subsidy gets stuck after a clean inspection. Fix the seeding first and the credit comes through without chasing.
