PM-Kisan land seeding showing 'No' or 'Pending', how do I get my land records verified?

In my PM-Kisan profile the land seeding column shows pending and land seeding status is No. I have my land in my name in the village record. What exactly is land seeding and how do I get it changed to Yes so my installment is not blocked?

Land seeding means the government has matched your PM-Kisan registration with the official land record (khasra, khatauni or your state's land record) and confirmed that the land is genuinely in your name. Until this match is done your status shows 'No' or 'Pending' and recent rules require land seeding to be 'Yes' for the installment to release. The verification is done by the revenue and agriculture department, not by you directly. To get it cleared, do this. First, make sure your name in PM-Kisan exactly matches your name in the land record, even small spelling differences can block the match. Second, take your land documents (khasra or khatauni or the digital land record), your Aadhaar and your PM-Kisan registration number to your village patwari, halka revenue officer, or the block or tehsil agriculture office and ask them to do the land seeding for your registration. They verify the records on the state portal and mark seeding done. In many states the agriculture officer updates this on the PM-Kisan login they have. After they update it, the status changes to Yes within some days. If your land mutation after inheritance or purchase is not yet done in the record, get that completed first, because seeding fails if the land still shows the old owner's name. Use only the official pmkisan.gov.in portal to track status and visit the agriculture or revenue office in person for the actual seeding.

My seeding was stuck because my land was still in my late grandfather's name. Once I did the mutation and got my name in the record, the patwari did the seeding and it became Yes.

Carry a printout of your khatauni when you go to the office, they ask for it. Took me two visits but it got done.
