Before I sell my tractor next season, what can I do to get a better price for it?

A few low cost steps can lift the price buyers offer. Get a full service done so the engine starts well and runs clean with no obvious leaks. Fix small issues that put buyers off, like a slipping clutch, weak hydraulics or worn linkage. Clean it well and touch up so it looks cared for, but do not over paint in a way that looks like hiding something. Gather your papers: RC, valid insurance, proof that any loan or hypothecation is cleared, and your service records. Keep the machine where the buyer can take a proper field test. Selling at the right time helps too, demand is usually higher before peak season. Honest condition plus clean papers gets the best price. Compare a couple of offers before settling.

A small service and a wash made a real difference in how buyers responded to mine.
