In Uttar Pradesh the Farmer ID is made on upfr.agristack.gov.in. A farmer can register alone on a phone, or take help at a village camp, from the lekhpal or at a Common Service Centre. The state's Hindi reports call the ID the Kisan Pehchan Patra, and it is built from Aadhaar eKYC plus the land record (khatauni or khasra).

This page covers what is specific to Uttar Pradesh. The general explanation is in the national Farmer Registry guide. The menu labels quoted below are the same on every state portal, including Uttar Pradesh's.

Portal and apps

  • Portal: upfr.agristack.gov.in. The portal offers four registration modes: Self, Operator, CSC and Sahayak, so a farmer can register without any helper.
  • Farmer app: "Farmer Registry UP" on Google Play, for the farmer's own registration. A second app, "Sahayak Farmer UP", is named for assisted registration (both named in a Kisan Tak guide).
  • Local name: Farmer ID, also written in Hindi as Kisan Pehchan Patra.
  • Related UP work: the state reported Ansh Nirdharan (determining each co-owner's share in land records) at 88.92% on 5 August 2026, running alongside registration.

Deadlines and scheme links in Uttar Pradesh

  • 1 April 2026: the Chief Minister directed that special camps be held in every Gram Panchayat, and that the departmental portal be operational by 1 May 2026. The registry is meant to link all beneficiary schemes of the Agriculture Department and related departments.
  • PM-Kisan: reports from late 2024 said instalments would stop for PM-Kisan farmers who had not registered, and officials in Firozabad set camps in revenue villages. Check your own instalment on the PM-Kisan page.
  • Target date: the reported state target for finishing the drive was 26 September 2026. That date has passed. No newer state deadline is published; ask at your village camp or the lekhpal.
Need help getting your Farmer ID?

Steps as the UP app and portal present them

  1. Open the Farmer Registry UP app or upfr.agristack.gov.in and choose the farmer login ("Log In as Farmer"). A new farmer signs up with the Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile.
  2. Check the name, date of birth and address that come from Aadhaar. The app lets the mobile number and email be updated with an OTP. A ration card or family ID number can be added, but it is optional.
  3. Enter the land details: district, tehsil, village and survey or khasra number, then tap "Fetch Land Details". The land record is fetched by the system.
  4. Only land from one village can be added in a single request. More land can be added later through the Farmer Details Update feature.
  5. Pick your plots and use "Verify All Lands". If your name is missing from the owners list, the portal shows a link for that case.
  6. Sign with "Farmer Consent - eSign", using an Aadhaar OTP. The portal then gives an Enrollment ID. Download the PDF and keep it.

Documents to keep ready

  • Aadhaar card and the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
  • Khatauni printout (asked for at the Firozabad camps) or the khasra number of each plot. See land records to find yours.
  • The registration screens do not ask for a photo or bank passbook upload. Bank details matter for PM-Kisan and Kisan Credit Card, which are separate.

Status, download and corrections

  • Status: the portal has "Check Approval Status" with "Search By Farmer Aadhaar Number", and a search by Farmer Enrollment ID.
  • Approval: the portal says that once approval is given by the designated authorities the farmer can sign in. A name that does not match the land record goes to manual verification.
  • Rejected or wrong: details can be updated and resubmitted, and resubmission generates a new Enrollment ID.
  • Errors in the land record: an "Update Farmer Details" section handles wrong data, and the lekhpal corrects the record itself.
  • Download: "Download PDF" after eSign.
  • Helpline: no Uttar Pradesh Farmer Registry helpline number is published. If you cannot sign in, use the contact details on the portal's sign-in page.
