Millets store well for a long time if you dry them properly and keep them dry and sealed, which is one reason they were traditional famine-reserve grains. After threshing, sun dry the grain to a low safe moisture so it is hard and free flowing, clean out chaff and broken grain that attract pests, and store in clean, dry, airtight bins or in good bags stacked on pallets away from damp walls and floors. Traditional methods like mixing dried neem leaves, ash layers in bins, and storing whole unhulled grain, which has a protective husk, all help keep weevils and moths out. Keep the store cool, dry and rodent proof, and check every few weeks for heating or insects. Ragi in particular keeps for years when stored dry as whole grain.

I store ragi as whole grain with neem leaves and it keeps for years. Drying it hard first is the most important step.

In Andhra I store my foxtail and ragi in airtight steel drums with tight lids, and once sealed full there is little air for insects to live. Filling the drum to the top and closing it well worked better than half-empty bins for me.

One caution: dehulled millet does not keep nearly as long as whole grain, so I dehull only what I will sell or eat soon. I keep the bulk as whole grain and process in small lots through the season.

In Madhya Pradesh I sun the empty bins and bags and seal any cracks in the store before filling, because pests hide in old grain dust in the corners. A clean dry store at filling time saved me a lot of weevil trouble later.

One tip from Maharashtra: I keep the grain a little extra dry going into the monsoon months, since damp air is when the moths appear. Checking the bins once a month and re-drying any bag that felt warm kept the whole lot clean.
