Aeroponics is the most technically demanding and usually the most expensive of the soilless methods because roots hang in air and are misted with nutrient solution, so it depends on precise, frequent misting that cannot fail. Setup needs high pressure pumps or foggers, fine misting nozzles, timers and controllers, reliable power with backup, and a controlled environment, which pushes cost well above simple hydroponics, often several thousand rupees per sq m and more for automated units. It is mainly used in India for specialised purposes like disease-free potato mini-tuber (seed) production in controlled facilities, rather than general vegetable farming, because the economics rarely work for common crops. The failure risk is high since a clogged nozzle or a few minutes of pump or power failure can dry and kill exposed roots quickly. This is not a beginner system. Unless you have a specific high value purpose, strong technical skill and capital, it is hard to justify. Confirm any cost and whether your state supports it through your horticulture department or an agricultural university running aeroponics work.

I looked at aeroponics and stepped back to hydroponics. The nozzle clogging and power dependency scared me for a first project. Aeroponics felt like a level above.

The only working aeroponics I have seen near me is a government potato seed unit, not a private farm. That tells you something about where it actually fits.
