Once established, what does asparagus yield and what price range?

Once an asparagus bed is mature, fresh spear yields are modest per area and build up over the first productive years, so treat any single figure with caution and plan conservatively. Fresh green asparagus can fetch a high per-kg price when sold to hotels or exporters, but the market is thin, so a higher price on small volume is the realistic picture, not large tonnage. The economics depend almost entirely on having premium buyers and on the bed lasting many years to spread the establishment cost. Verify realistic yields and prices with your KVK and with any grower or buyer in your region before you invest.
The price per kg is good but the volume is small, so do not imagine truckloads. It is a high value, low quantity crop that only works if your buyers pay the premium.
