What climate does Miyazaki (Irwin) mango need to develop its red colour in India?

Miyazaki is the brand for the Irwin variety, which is a warm-climate mango and will grow in most Indian subtropical and tropical mango zones, including the plains, where commercial mango already does well. The signature deep red skin develops with strong sunlight exposure on the fruit; shaded fruit colours poorly, so canopy management and fruit exposure matter. In Japan the colour and finish are pushed with greenhouse control, fruit netting and careful handling, which ordinary field conditions here will not match, so expect variable colour. It needs the usual mango basics: a dry flowering spell, good drainage, hopper and anthracnose control, and even moisture. It can fruit in the plains, but do not expect Japanese-grade appearance from open-field growing. Keep expectations modest, grow it well, and treat it as a premium novelty rather than a guaranteed high-value crop. Confirm true-to-type plant material before relying on it.
