Heard raspberry spoils very fast. Want to know how to handle it and find a market that works.

Raspberry is one of the most perishable fruits, soft, easily crushed, and quick to mould, so it must be picked carefully when just ripe, handled gently in shallow trays, cooled fast, and sold or processed within a very short window. This is why it works best for nearby high-value outlets, premium urban retail, cafes and restaurants, or processing into jam, puree and toppings, rather than long-distance fresh sale through ordinary mandis. Without a cold chain and a close market, losses are high. Given these limits, plan small volumes with confirmed buyers or a processing plan before expanding. Verify realistic handling practices and any local buyer or processing options for your area with your KVK and by speaking to specialty fruit buyers.
I only pick what I can sell or use the same day. Anything held over loses its shape and value quickly. A nearby cafe buyer made it workable for me.
