My sarson upper leaves are pale. Not sure if it is nitrogen or sulphur shortage.
How do I diagnose and fix sulphur deficiency in mustard versus nitrogen deficiency?

In mustard, sulphur deficiency usually shows first on the younger, upper leaves which turn pale yellow and may cup or turn reddish, with poor pod and oil formation, while nitrogen deficiency shows first on the older, lower leaves which yellow from the bottom up. So pale new leaves point to sulphur, pale old leaves point to nitrogen. Correct sulphur with gypsum, single super phosphate or elemental sulphur, and nitrogen with a top-dress of urea at the right stage. Confirm the cause with a soil test and your Soil Health Card, and follow your KVK dose recommendation.

The simple memory aid the team gave is exactly how I tell them apart in the field, new top leaves pale means sulphur, old bottom leaves yellow means nitrogen. Since your upper leaves are pale, it sounds like sulphur. I had the same and adding gypsum fixed it.

Sulphur is best given as a basal dose, so a top-dress correction mid-season helps only partly. I learned to put gypsum or single super phosphate in at sowing every year on my sandy soil to avoid the pale upper leaves in the first place. Prevention worked better than the late fix.
