How much loan can I get for goat farming and does the bank insist on a project report?

I want to start with about fifty goats. I am told I need a project report for the bank. How does the loan and subsidy fit together?

For a unit of around fifty goats the bank finances it as a livestock term loan, and yes a proper project report is usually essential because the loan size and any subsidy are based on it. The report should cover the number and breed of does and bucks, shed, feed and fodder, water, vaccination, insurance of animals, working capital and your expected income, so the bank can judge viability. The bank sanctions a loan covering most of the cost with your margin money, and under the eligible livestock scheme a back-ended capital subsidy on a part of the project cost is linked to the loan and adjusted later if you run the unit for the lock-in period. Special categories may get a higher subsidy share. Keeping animals insured and maintaining records helps both approval and recovery. The subsidy percentage and unit norms vary by scheme and state, so confirm the current goat scheme, subsidy and margin with your bank, the animal husbandry department or NABARD.

Bank ne mujhe bina project report ke bilkul nahi suna. Maine KVK se report banwayi to loan jaldi pass hua. Animals ka insurance bhi karwa lena, recovery aur claim dono me kaam aata hai.

For my goat unit the bank wanted breed details, shed cost and a feed plan in the report, and the subsidy came as a back ended amount adjusted in later installments. Keep records of vaccination and sales. Confirm the current goat scheme and margin with the animal husbandry department.

Margin money ke liye taiyaar raho, bank poora loan nahi deta, kuch hissa apna lagana padta hai. Maine project report me feed aur fodder ka kharch sach me dikhaya, kyunki bahut log income badha chadha kar likhte hain aur baad me chuka nahi paate. Real numbers do, bank ko viability dikhe to loan aur subsidy dono aasaan ho jate hain.
