Will repaying my loan on time make me lose out when a loan waiver comes?

I always repay my crop loan on time. Now waiver talk is going on and people who defaulted may benefit. Should I stop repaying?

This is a real and unfair side effect of waivers, but deliberately defaulting is usually a bad gamble. Most waiver schemes target loans that are outstanding or overdue on a cut-off date, so prompt payers who already cleared their loan often get nothing, which understandably feels like a penalty. Some schemes try to soften this by giving prompt-repayment incentive payments to good borrowers, but these are smaller and not guaranteed. If you stop repaying on a guess, you lose your prompt-repayment interest rebate, your account can turn into an NPA, your credit record is damaged, and a waiver may never actually arrive or may exclude your category. The safer path is to keep your account regular, claim every prompt-repayment incentive you can, and treat any waiver as a bonus, not a plan. This is general information, not personal financial advice.

Mere ek dost ne waiver ki ummeed me jaan boojh kar nahi bhara, par uska account NPA ho gaya aur waiver me uski category aayi hi nahi. Bahut nuksan hua. Time par bharna hi sahi hai, waiver to bonus samjho.

I always pay on time and felt cheated when defaulters got relief, but my prompt repayment rebate over the years added up to a decent saving. Losing the rebate and spoiling my CIBIL was not worth a gamble. This is just my experience, not advice for your situation.

Some schemes do give a separate incentive to prompt payers, so ask your bank and agriculture office whether any such benefit is announced for good borrowers. It is usually smaller and not guaranteed, but worth claiming. Do not bank a default on a waiver that may exclude your category.

Soch lo ki waiver aaye hi nahi, kai baar sirf announcement hota hai aur saalon tak paisa nahi aata ya category badal jati hai. Maine jaan boojh kar bharna band nahi kiya, balki time par bhar kar prompt repayment ki chhoot leta raha. Default karne se CIBIL kharab hota hai aur aage koi naya loan ya gold loan tak mushkil ho jata hai. Yeh meri samajh hai, apni paristhiti ke hisaab se sochna.
