How is my Kisan Credit Card crop loan limit calculated for the first year?

Bank gave me a smaller KCC limit than I expected. I want to understand how they fix the number.

Your first-year KCC crop loan limit is built from a Scale of Finance times your cropped area, plus a small allowance for post-harvest and household needs. The Scale of Finance is a per-acre or per-hectare cost figure fixed each year by your District Level Technical Committee for each crop, so paddy, cotton and sugarcane will each have a different rate. The bank multiplies that rate by your area under each crop, adds about 10 percent for post-harvest expenses and another 20 percent for maintenance of farm assets, and that becomes your limit. From the second year onward many banks step the limit up by around 10 percent a year to allow for cost inflation. The exact Scale of Finance and percentages change yearly, so ask your branch or agriculture office for the current figures rather than relying on old numbers.

Mere case me bank ne pehle scale of finance kam laga diya tha. Maine apne block ke agriculture office se current scale nikalwa kar branch ko dikhaya, tab limit theek hui.

Ek baat dhyan rakho, agar tum ek hi khet me do fasal lete ho saal me to dono ki area alag se judti hai limit me. Maine apne rabi aur kharif dono crops likhwaye to limit thodi badh gayi. Branch ko apna sahi cropping pattern batao.

My limit looked low because the bank had only counted one crop on my record. I took my updated khatauni and a simple list of what I actually grow each season to the loan officer. Always carry land records that match the area you are claiming, otherwise they go by the smaller figure on file.
