Young farmers can use simple agri-tech to make better decisions and cut costs, starting with free government and KVK advisory services. Use soil health information to apply only the fertiliser your land needs, follow weather based crop advisories to time sowing, spraying and irrigation, and use pest and disease identification help to act early. Drone spraying through FPOs or women SHGs saves labour and chemical on larger areas. Keeping farm records on a mobile note or app shows which crop truly earns more. Market price information helps you choose when and where to sell instead of accepting the first offer. Drip and sensor based irrigation saves water and power where affordable. Start with one or two tools you will actually use daily rather than chasing every new gadget. Your KVK can guide you to reliable advisory services and demonstrate technologies before you invest your own money.

Weather advisory alone saved one of my sprays last season because rain was coming. I also check market prices before deciding which mandi to take my produce to. Do not buy every gadget, pick what helps daily. Record keeping on my phone showed me my real profit per crop.

Drone spraying through our FPO saved me a lot of labour on cotton during pest season. For small things, the soil test guided my fertiliser and reduced cost. Learn one tool well before adding another. The KVK demo helped me trust the technology before spending.

Be careful which app you trust, some give wrong pest advice. I stick to the official government advisory and my KVK group on the phone. A photo of a diseased leaf sent to the KVK specialist got me a faster and more reliable answer than a random app.

Mobile market price information stopped me selling onion in panic, I waited a week and the rate recovered. I also use simple voice notes in my own language to record daily work since typing is slow. Pick tools that fit how you already work, that is when you actually keep using them.
