How to control Alternaria blight and wilt in cumin (jeera)?

Cumin faces two big problems, Alternaria blight which shows as dark brown spots on leaves and seeds, and Fusarium wilt which causes sudden drying of plants in patches. For blight, spray mancozeb at about 2 g per litre at first appearance and repeat at 10 to 15 day intervals, especially if cloudy humid weather sets in. For wilt, prevention is key since there is no spray cure, so use tolerant varieties like GC 4 or RZ 209, treat seed with fungicide, follow three year crop rotation, and do summer deep ploughing. Avoid excess irrigation and high humidity, and sow at the right time as early sowing greatly increases both diseases.
