Yes, recharge structures can help refill the groundwater around your borewell, though how much they help depends on your rainfall and the local geology. The idea is to catch rainwater and runoff that would otherwise flow away and let it soak into the ground instead of running off. Common methods are a recharge pit or trench filled with gravel and sand near the bore, directing rooftop and field runoff into it, and farm ponds and check dams that hold water so it percolates down over time. Some farmers connect a filtered recharge pit close to the borewell so clean rainwater goes down to feed the aquifer. The water must be filtered through gravel and sand so silt does not choke the bore or the aquifer. Recharge is a slow, area wide benefit, not an instant refill, and it works best when many farmers in the area do it together. We made recharge pits across the whole village and the borewells now last longer into summer. Alone it does little, together it works.
Filter the water before it goes down. My first pit silted up because I sent muddy runoff straight in.
