Does NFSM also help me buy a small implement or only seed and inputs?

NFSM is broader than just seed and fertiliser; alongside certified seed, bio fertilisers, micronutrients and plant protection, it also supports certain farm implements and equipment that help raise productivity of the target crops, such as items used for sowing, spraying and resource conservation, depending on what your state has included under the mission for the year. The equipment support usually comes as a subsidy on selected machines, often with priority for small and marginal farmers, and the exact list of eligible implements and the subsidy slab are decided state wise. For a sprayer or seed drill, check whether it is listed under your state NFSM components this year, and note that the same item is often also available under the farm mechanisation scheme SMAM, so you can pick whichever has the better slab and is open. Ask your block or district agriculture office which implements are available under NFSM or SMAM this season and apply on the state portal. Confirm the current eligible list and subsidy rates before buying, since they change each year.
