I want to start fish farming and apply for the PMMSY subsidy. What are the actual steps and where do I submit my application?

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is implemented mainly through your State or District Fisheries Department, so that office is your first stop. The usual step by step flow is: one, decide your activity, for example a new pond, a biofloc unit, fish seed rearing or input support, and check whether it is in the current state PMMSY annual action plan. Two, get a project report or filled application with cost estimates for your activity. Three, apply through your District Fisheries Officer, and in many states there is also an online portal where beneficiaries register. Four, your application is scrutinised and approved within the state's beneficiary-oriented component, often subject to a target or selection process. Five, you complete the work, get it inspected, and the subsidy is released, usually to your bank account, frequently in a back-ended manner after verification. The subsidy share under PMMSY is commonly described as a higher slab for SC, ST and women beneficiaries and a lower slab for the general category, with the balance being your own contribution and any bank loan, but the exact percentages, unit costs and ceilings are fixed in the state action plan and revised periodically. Confirm the current slab, the eligible activities and the documents required with your District Fisheries Officer before you start. Keep land or lease papers for the pond site, identity proof, bank details and caste certificate if applicable ready.
Mera kaam District Fisheries Office se hua. Online register kiya phir wahan jaake DPR jaisa form diya. Pond banne ke baad inspection hua tab paisa account me aaya.
Important baat, pehle confirm karo ki tumhari activity us saal ke state action plan me hai ya nahi. Agar target nahi hai to application ruk jaati hai.
