Rotavator subsidy percentage and amount under SMAM and state portals.

A rotavator gets subsidy under SMAM at about 40 percent for general farmers and up to 50 percent for women, SC, ST and small or marginal farmers, applied on a government cost ceiling for that machine rather than the full invoice. The rupee amount depends on the rotavator size and your state ceiling, often ranging from a few tens of thousands of rupees. Apply on your state agriculture mechanization portal (MahaDBT, Raj Kisan Sathi, e-Krishi Yantra Anudan and similar), upload land, Aadhaar, bank and caste documents, and wait for the lottery and approval before buying from a registered dealer. Confirm the exact ceiling for your rotavator width on the state portal.
The ceiling changes with the working width, so a wider rotavator carries a higher cap. Pick the width that matches your tractor HP, an oversized rotavator strains a small tractor and the extra cap does not help if the machine cannot pull it.
I got mine through the MP portal with the small DD step. The amount was credited after the field officer saw the machine and matched the serial number on the bill. Keep the rotavator at the farm on inspection day, do not lend it out that week.
