how to apply midh subsidy process, state horticulture portal application steps

The process runs through your State Horticulture Department, not the central government directly. The usual steps are: first, register as a farmer on your state horticulture portal or visit the district horticulture office and find out which components are open this year with active targets. Second, submit an application with your land record, identity proof, bank details and a quotation or estimate for the component you want (for example a polyhouse, drip system or new orchard). Third, the department gives an administrative approval or work order before you start, this is important because in most components you should not begin work until you have the sanction in writing. Fourth, you execute the work using an empanelled vendor or your own labour as allowed. Fifth, an officer inspects and verifies the actual work on the ground. Sixth, after verification the subsidy is released, usually directly to your bank account or partly to the vendor depending on the component. The exact sequence, whether it is back ended subsidy or paid to the vendor, and the documents needed vary by state, so confirm the current steps on your state horticulture portal or at the district horticulture office.
Sabse important baat: approval aane se pehle kaam mat shuru karo. Mere padosi ne pehle polyhouse bana liya, baad me bola gaya pre approval nahi tha, claim atak gaya.
Keep photocopies and a soft copy of everything you submit. When the file moves between the block, district and state office, papers go missing and they ask you to submit again. If you have your own set ready you save weeks.
In my state the portal would not accept my application because my land record name and Aadhaar name did not match exactly. Get that sorted first, otherwise you waste a whole season.
Ask the office at the start whether your component is paid to you or settled to an empanelled vendor. For drip mine went straight to the vendor and I only paid my share. For the polyhouse I had to spend first and wait for back ended subsidy. Knowing this early helped me arrange money.
Do not pay any middleman who promises to get the subsidy sanctioned for a cut. The application is free at the horticulture office. Agents only fill the same form you can fill, and a wrong claim through an agent can get your name flagged.
