SMAM subsidy is not open all year. States open application windows when funds are released, often more than once a year and frequently before the kharif and rabi seasons when farmers need machines. If you missed a window, watch your state agriculture or agrimachinery portal and local agriculture office notices for the next one. Register on the portal in advance and keep your documents ready so you can apply on the first day the window opens, which matters in first-come states and gives you a clean entry in lottery states. You can also ask your block agriculture officer roughly when the next window is expected. Note that there may be a locking period before you can claim subsidy again on the same type of machine, so check that rule on your state portal.
