How do I correct a wrong bank account or IFSC code in my PM-Kisan record?

Bank account and IFSC corrections in PM-Kisan are handled a little carefully because the payment goes by DBT. On the official pmkisan.gov.in portal there is a 'Beneficiary correction' or farmer corner update facility, but the editable fields vary, and bank details are often not directly self editable for security. The reliable route is to go to your block or tehsil agriculture office or a CSC with your PM-Kisan registration number, Aadhaar, and a correct bank passbook copy or cancelled cheque, and ask them to update your bank account and IFSC. The most important point most farmers miss is this. PM-Kisan does not just need a correct account number, it needs your Aadhaar to be seeded and NPCI mapped to that specific bank account. Even if you correct the account number, if your Aadhaar is mapped at NPCI to a different old account, the money will go there. So when you go to your bank, ask them to do two things, confirm your name and account match, and do the Aadhaar seeding and NPCI mapping for this account. Once the account is corrected in PM-Kisan and your Aadhaar is NPCI mapped to it, the failed installment is usually reattempted in the next payment cycle. Always make these changes through the official portal, the CSC, or the agriculture office, and do not share OTP or Aadhaar with random agents.
