PM-KUSUM Component B application process, portal and documents for solar agriculture pump.

Apply through your state PM-KUSUM portal run by the state nodal agency, energy department or DISCOM, since the scheme is implemented state by state. Steps are: register on the state portal, choose Component B for a standalone solar pump, select pump capacity (up to 7.5 HP), pay your farmer share or apply for bank finance, then a vendor survey and installation follow. Keep these documents ready: Aadhaar, land record (7/12 or RoR), bank passbook, recent photo, mobile number and a passport photo. The MNRE site mnre.gov.in lists every state portal link. Approvals are often by lottery when demand is high, so apply early when the window opens.
After you are selected, a technical team visits to check the water source and the spot where the panels will sit. Keep the field reachable and the well or borewell working on that day, because if the survey fails you go back in the queue. My survey got rescheduled once just because the access road was flooded.
A small pitfall many of us hit is the mobile number not being linked to Aadhaar, which blocks the OTP at registration. Fix that at any Aadhaar centre first, otherwise you cannot even start the form. Also keep a clear scan of the land record, blurry uploads get returned.
