Round gourd (tinda) is a warm season cucurbit grown in two windows, a summer crop sown from February to March and a rainy season crop sown from June to July, and it is frost sensitive so avoid the cold months. Sow seed in pits or lines with two to three seeds per spot, and keep moderate spacing of around 1 to 1.5 metres since tinda vines are shorter than many gourds.
