eNAM (National Agriculture Market) is an online trading platform that links APMC mandis across India so you can sell to buyers in many states and get better prices. To register, go to enam.gov.in, click Registration, choose Farmer, and enter your details, mobile and email; you get a temporary login. Then complete KYC by adding your bank account and either approving through your nearest eNAM mandi or uploading documents. After approval you can bring your produce to an eNAM-linked mandi, where it is lot-tagged and quality-assayed, listed online, and buyers bid for it. Payment comes directly to your bank account. You can also register and get help at the Farmer Helpdesk inside any eNAM mandi. There is no fee for farmers to register.
Maine apni mandi ke eNAM helpdesk se register karwaya, bank account jod diya. Online bidding me bahar ke vyapari bhi boli lagate hain, kabhi kabhi local rate se accha daam mil jaata hai.
The quality assaying step is what gets you a fair price on eNAM. When my produce was graded well in the assay lab, buyers from another state bid higher because they trusted the grade. So clean and sort your produce before bringing it.
Not every mandi is linked to eNAM yet. My nearest one was not, so I had to take produce to a slightly farther linked mandi. Check the list of eNAM mandis on enam.gov.in before you plan your trip.
Registration is free, so do not pay any agent who claims to charge for an eNAM ID. The helpdesk inside the mandi does it at no cost. A tout near my mandi was charging farmers for nothing.
