You can apply for a KCC at any bank that gives agriculture loans, including your nearest public sector bank, regional rural bank, or cooperative bank. Carry your Aadhaar, PAN, land records (khasra/khatauni or revenue document), passport-size photos, and proof of crops grown. Fill the simple KCC form (it is one page). Many banks also let you apply online through their net banking or app under Agri Loans, and you can start the process from pmkisan.gov.in by clicking the Kisan Credit Card link, which redirects you to apply. The bank verifies your land and crops and sanctions a limit based on the scale of finance. Owner cultivators, tenant farmers, sharecroppers, and even dairy and fishery farmers can apply.
Maine apne gaon ke cooperative bank se KCC banwaya. Sirf Aadhaar, jameen ke kagaz aur photo lage. Form bharne ke baad jameen ka verification hua, fir card mil gaya. 1.6 lakh tak koi guarantee nahi maangi.
If a bank delays or refuses without reason, remember KCC is a priority sector scheme. I politely mentioned this and asked for the application to be logged with an acknowledgement, and it moved. You can also escalate to the bank's branch manager or the lead district manager.
Existing PM-Kisan beneficiaries get a slightly easier route. When I started from the KCC link on pmkisan.gov.in, some of my details were already there, so the bank had less to verify. Worth trying if you already get PM-Kisan.
Dairy farmers, take note: I got a KCC for my buffaloes without crop land, based on the number of animals. So even allied activity wale apply kar sakte hain, bas bank ko apna kaam batao.
