pmfby last date, crop insurance deadline, kharif rabi cut off date

The PMFBY enrollment cut-off is generally 31 July for Kharif crops and 31 December for Rabi crops, but the exact last date is notified separately by each state for every season and crop, so it can differ. Loanee farmers with a KCC are enrolled automatically unless they opt out at least seven days before the cut-off; non-loanee farmers must apply on their own through a bank, CSC, insurance agent, or pmfby.gov.in. Do not wait until the last day, as portals get busy. Check the exact notified date for your district and crop on pmfby.gov.in or with your local agriculture office before sowing.
Last day ka intezaar mat karo. Pichle saal aakhri din portal slow ho gaya tha aur bank me line lag gayi thi, kai logon ka enrollment reh gaya. Main ab ek hafta pehle hi karwa leta hoon.
If you have a KCC and do not want crop insurance this season, remember you must submit the opt-out form to your bank at least seven days before the cut-off, otherwise the premium is auto-deducted. A friend missed that window and the premium got cut from his loan account.
