my agar trees are getting ready for inoculation, want to know how legitimate agarwood and oud oil buyers work

Genuine agarwood trade runs through established processors, distillers and exporters who deal in chips and oud oil, and they care about quality grading and legal documentation. Since Aquilaria is under trade controls, serious buyers will expect proper paperwork for cultivated material and may ask about certification, especially for export. Connect through the agar growers and processors in the Assam and North East belt, any government agar institute or board, and reputable distillers rather than random middlemen. Sell graded material, as resin rich heartwood and good oil fetch far more than plain wood. Be wary of buyers who are vague about papers or who first sold you the saplings with a buyback promise. Verify the trade and export documentation needs with the relevant authority before you sell.
The distillers here grade strictly. Good resin fetches a real price, plain wood almost nothing. Build a link with an honest processor, not a passing agent.
