eKYC is mandatory for every PM-Kisan beneficiary and you can do OTP-based eKYC yourself at home. Go to pmkisan.gov.in, click the eKYC link on the right side, enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha, then enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. If your mobile is not linked to Aadhaar or OTP fails, you must do biometric eKYC at the nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) by giving a fingerprint. There is also a Face Authentication option in the PM Kisan mobile app if OTP is a problem. Without completed eKYC your installment will be stopped, so finish it well before the next release.

OTP wala ekyc mere phone pe nahi chala kyunki Aadhaar se mobile link nahi tha. CSC center gaya, ungli laga ke 2 minute me ho gaya, 15 rupaye liye.

For my old father whose fingerprints would not scan at the CSC, the Face Authentication in the official PM Kisan app saved us. You download the app, allow camera, and it reads the face. Make sure you get the genuine app from the Play Store, not some lookalike.

Tip from my experience: after doing eKYC, go back to Beneficiary Status the next day and confirm the eKYC field shows Yes. Mine did not register the first time and I only found out weeks later when the kist did not come.
