Who buys coloured capsicum and is the demand strong?

Coloured capsicum (red, yellow, sometimes orange) sells mainly to supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, modern retail and quick commerce in cities, and there is some export. Demand is genuinely growing but it is channel dependent, not a general mandi crop, and prices swing with supply. Farm gate rates have ranged widely, often around Rs 40 to 100 per kg and higher off season, but can fall sharply in a glut. Coloured fruit takes longer on the plant than green, so it costs more to produce but earns more if you have the right buyer. Line up a retail or hotel supplier or an exporter before planting and confirm current rates locally.
