I am registered on eNAM but have never actually traded a lot. Can someone explain the full flow from bringing my produce to the mandi to getting the money in my account?

The eNAM flow at an integrated mandi works like this. First you make a gate entry of your lot at the mandi, where your name, commodity and approximate quantity are recorded and a lot number is generated. Then a sample of your produce goes for assaying or grading at the mandi quality counter, and the grade is uploaded against your lot. Once graded, the lot is put up for online bidding, where traders from your mandi and sometimes other linked mandis bid. After the bid closes you can accept or reject the highest bid; if you accept, the lot is weighed, a sale agreement and invoice are generated, and payment is processed. On eNAM many states now route payment directly to the farmer's bank account, often within the same day or a few days. Confirm the exact gate entry and payment timeline with your local APMC office since it varies by state and mandi.
In our Ujjain mandi the bidding part is the new thing for me. Earlier the commission agent just decided the rate. Now I can see the bids on the screen and decide. Took me one or two visits to trust it.
One tip, reach the gate early so your gate entry and assaying are done before the day's bidding session closes. If you come late your lot goes to the next session.
