nri kisan credit card, can nri get farmer id subsidy, nri eligibility agriculture schemes

Most government farmer benefit schemes, like PM-Kisan, Kisan Credit Card, input subsidies, and many state farmer welfare schemes, are designed for resident farmers who actually cultivate the land, and NRIs are generally not the intended beneficiaries. So as an NRI you should not expect to draw a Kisan Credit Card or PM-Kisan in your own name simply because you own or inherited land. However, if your land is cultivated by a resident family member or a tenant who meets the scheme conditions, that resident cultivator may be eligible in their own right for many of these benefits. Trying to claim resident only benefits as an NRI can lead to recovery and trouble, so it is not worth it. The cleaner approach is to let the eligible resident cultivator access the farmer schemes, while you focus on ownership, leasing, and your own tax and repatriation matters. Confirm specific scheme eligibility on the official portals or with the local agriculture office. General information only.
Correct in my case. I am NRI and cannot get KCC, but the farmer who leases my land has his own KCC for his cultivation. The schemes follow the actual cultivator, not the NRI owner.
