The subsidy is normally a percentage of the seed price or a fixed amount per quintal, and it is often higher for certified seed, for newer varieties and for varieties being replaced (seed replacement). The discount varies by crop, variety, scheme, your category (some give more to small, marginal, SC and ST farmers) and the year's budget, so there is no single number that applies everywhere.
