You can also sow in late winter and early autumn, but in peak summer heat it bolts and turns bitter quickly. Sow in lines for easy weeding and cutting. Palak gives multiple cuttings, so the trick for continuous supply is staggered sowing every two to three weeks on small plots, and a light nitrogen top dressing and irrigation after each cutting to push the next flush.
