Shade net and insect net houses are commonly supported under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and related state horticulture schemes, usually as a percentage of an approved cost norm rather than your actual bill, with the support often around 50 percent for general farmers and higher for some categories and states. Because it is a percentage of a fixed norm and may have area limits, your own cash outlay can be more than expected, and the money typically comes as reimbursement after you build, so you need the full amount ready first. The process generally runs through the district horticulture office: you apply with land records, quotations from empanelled vendors, and bank details, get administrative approval before starting work, build with an approved vendor, and then the unit is inspected before the subsidy is released. Steps, document lists and percentages vary by state and year. Do not rely on figures from another state or an old notice. Confirm the current cost norm, percentage, area limit and exact procedure with your district horticulture officer and the state horticulture portal before you start, and never begin construction before approval if the scheme requires prior sanction.

Key thing I learnt, get the approval before building. A neighbour built first and then applied and his claim got stuck. Prior sanction matters in many states.

Use an empanelled vendor only, the department would not pass my claim otherwise. Ask the horticulture office for their approved vendor list first.
