Main pests in baby corn and control, especially with such an early harvest.

Baby corn faces the usual maize pests, mainly fall armyworm and stem borer attacking the whorl and stem, plus shoot fly early in the crop. Because you harvest the cob very young and eat it, pest control timing and pre harvest interval matter a lot, so lean on early scouting, clean fields and recommended biopesticides or labelled products used well before harvest. Many growers favour cultural and biological control here precisely because the produce is eaten fresh and often exported with residue checks. Avoid late chemical sprays near picking. Confirm the exact control plan with your KVK for your area.
Fall armyworm in the whorl is my main pest. I scout early and act fast, and I avoid spraying close to harvest because my buyer checks residue.
