Current status
JREDA public notice (file dated 19 Dec 2025) invites applications on the state portal with the beneficiary contribution; no closing date seen. Mercom/other reports of a 10,000-pump budget for 2026 were not verified on an official page.

Jharkhand had 43,693 standalone pumps installed against 86,985 sanctioned under PM-KUSUM Component B (30.11.2025 (PIB, Lok Sabha USQ 1770 of 10.12.2025)).

2 HP, 3 HP, 5 HP.
Eligibility
- Farmer must have a water source (boring, well, pond etc.)
- Farmers who already have electricity in their field cannot avail
- One solar pumpset per farmer family
- Farmers who got a solar pump under any other scheme are not eligible
Good to know
Beneficiary contribution in rupees: 2 HP Rs 5,000 (actual cost Rs 1.80 lakh); 3 HP Rs 7,000 (Rs 2.16 lakh); 5 HP Rs 10,000 (Rs 3.18 lakh). JREDA says farmers get 96-97% subsidy, state about 71-72% and centre about 25%; because these are stated as approximate percent bands, the share fields are left null. Includes supply, installation and 5 years of maintenance. JREDA says over 40,000 pumpsets installed (about 100 MW).
