Be very careful with medicinal crop contract and buyback offers, since many farmers have lost money to schemes that promise guaranteed income, sell costly seed or inputs, and then refuse to buy back the produce or reject it on quality grounds. Never pay a large upfront fee for seed or a buyback promise made only verbally. Insist on a written, signed agreement that clearly states the buyback price, the quality standard, who tests it, payment terms and timeline, and verify the company is genuine with real past growers you can call. Cross check the actual market demand and price yourself rather than trusting the agent's figures. Do not believe any fixed guaranteed profit claim. Run the contract past your KVK or a lawyer before signing.

A man in our area signed up for a herb buyback like this, paid for the seed, and when the crop came they said the quality failed and bought nothing. Get the price and the quality test in writing and call old farmers first.

Ask the agent to put everything on paper and sign it, the price, the quality standard and who tests it, and the payment timeline. The genuine ones agree, the fraud ones make excuses and only promise by mouth. A verbal buyback is worth nothing when the dispute comes.

Do not pay any big upfront amount for seed or registration, that is the warning sign. And call two or three farmers who actually grew for this company last year and got paid, do not just trust the names the agent gives. Verify the buyer yourself before signing anything.

Before you sign anything take the paper to the KVK or someone who reads contracts, that one step saved a friend of mine from a bad deal. The terms looked fine to him but they had wording to reject the crop. Verify the buyer is real and get the terms checked in writing first.
