Splitting the feed into many small fertigation doses gave us noticeably better finger filling than the old practice of a few heavy applications, which mostly washed away in our sandy soil near Erode. The plant gets a steady supply and we waste far less fertiliser. Push the potassium up during bunch development, that is when the demand is highest and it shows in the bunch weight.
