How is mulberry cocoon price decided and how often can I get a crop?

Mulberry cocoons are usually sold at a government cocoon market (silk exchange) by auction or lot, and the price depends on cocoon quality, the renditta (how many kg of cocoon make 1 kg raw silk), and current demand. Better, well-formed, properly mounted cocoons fetch more. Because mulberry silkworms have a short life cycle, you can take multiple rearing crops in a year (often several batches), which is one reason mulberry sericulture gives relatively frequent cash flow compared with many crops. The limits are your mulberry leaf supply, rearing space, season and weather and disease control. Rates fluctuate, so check current cocoon market prices and plan batches with your sericulture department. The frequent income is real, but only if disease is controlled each batch.
